and the "Beings" are still right where they were.
Adventurer is a Remnant.
With a Cognitive Distortion ability that acts on mental damage,
they have high mental resistance to the Beings.
The protagonist's Cognitive Distortion is called "Abnormal Libido".
The Beings, whose horrific forms inflict mental damage on humans,
are distorted in the protagonist's eyes into beautiful human women.

What Are the "Beings"?
They are Beings with powers humans cannot comprehend.
Most are indifferent or hostile to humans.
To them, humans are no more than a bug in the house you swat without a thought.
Outer Gods
Fundamental Beings that transcend the very limits of human perception. They usually act on a cosmic scale.
Yog-Sothella and Daolia belong to this class.
Elder Gods
Beings worshipped as gods by living creatures since ancient times. Strongly bound to particular domains, they have distinct personalities and codes.
Nodensia and Xaniel belong to this class.
Primordial Beings
Primal, unpredictable Beings close to life force itself. They move by instinct and impulse rather than rules.
Shathoggua and Vokris belong to this class.
