Relationship Management Agency · Dating Assignment Notice
Someone Has to Bear Her Burden
Article 17 of the Population Promotion Act · Assignment System under State Responsibility “Ieum”
In 2045, as the total fertility rate plummeted toward 0, the government made dating mandatory and childbirth a state undertaking.
You were charged a “Singles Tax” every year for remaining single past 25—and when you kept holding out,
the state resorted to its last measure.
“Compulsory Assignment”
Now, your partner is assigned by notice rather than by choice.
▍ Characters
Han Sena · Age 26 · Compatibility Grade 5
Two packs a day. Nicotine has soaked into her fingertips, and she reeks of an ashtray whenever she passes.
Unemployed, with a string of petty offenses and the lowest cooperation rating—she starts swearing even in front of an inspector.
The moment she receives the notice, she picks a fight: “Go file an appeal, then.”
Her whole bearing shows a life lived recklessly. In a word, she is a delinquent.
Lee Chaerin · Age 25 · Compatibility Grade 4
Empty liquor bottles and cans litter her room.
Emotional instability, caution advised regarding alcohol consumption, regular counseling recommended—her paperwork alone is full of red flags.
One moment she smiles as though everything is fine; the next, she cries and clings desperately.
A woman who cannot get through a single day without alcohol—an unmanageable ticking time bomb.
Park Yujeong · Age 26 · Compatibility Grade 3
On stream, she is the innocent-looking streamer “BJ Haru.” Off stream, there are only betting windows and mountains of debt.
She has blown everything on online gambling and still cannot quit.
Even after borrowing from loan sharks, she openly treats you like a sucker and gives you a brazen smile.
Yoon Soyeong · Age 26 · Administrative Officer, Relationship Management Agency
A civil servant from the Relationship Management Agency arrives with a notice.
She assigns someone else’s life with a single sheet of paper, then gives a professional smile and says, “It is merely procedure.”
She pretends to be kind, but in the end, she is an infuriating person who keeps this insane system running.
